Dr. Shabahang received his DDS in 1987 from University of Pacific. Prior to receiving an endodontic certificate and MS in 1997 from Loma Linda University, he practiced general dentistry for 8 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2001, he received his PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Loma Linda University. During the same year, he obtained his board certification from the American Board of Endodontics.  

Since then, Dr. Shabahang has been a faculty member in the Department of Endodontics at Loma Linda University, where he has been involved in teaching, conducting research, and practicing in the faculty endodontic practice. Dr. Shabahang has authored articles and textbook chapters, and has lectured nationally and internationally.

 Dr. Shabahang is a member of the Tri-County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the International Association of Dental Research. He is also an active member of the American Association of Endodontics serving on several committees and past chair of the Research and Scientific Affairs Committee. Dr. Shabahang is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endodontics and the President of the American Institute of Oral Biology.

During his time away from work, he enjoys skiing and spending time with his family relaxing with their horses.

About Dr. Gage

Upon graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1991, Dr. Gage was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. As a dental officer, Dr. Gage spent two years in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune with the Fleet Marine Force. Once his tour of duty was completed in North Carolina, Dr. Gage traveled to Hawaii where he spent an additional two years with the marines at the Marine Corps Air Station, Kaneohe Bay. After serving nearly four years in the Navy, Dr. Gage made the decision to return to California and pursue advanced training in endodontics.

 Subsequently, he entered the post-doctoral residency program in endodontics at Loma Linda University where he earned certification in 1997. Dr. Gage's academic career is distinguished by his achievements. He was chosen as the Academy of General Dentistry's Senior Student of the Year at UCLA and was also recognized in the Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities during his attendance at Loma Linda University.

 Maintaining his education and staying abreast of trends and techniques emerging in endodontics is a priority for Dr. Gage. As such, he attends continuing education courses throughout the year.

 While learning about the advancements taking place in dentistry is important to him, Dr. Gage is also interested in teaching others about current issues affecting dentistry. Dr. Gage is occasionally enlisted by Loma Linda University, where he currently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Endodontics.

 Because he enjoys being actively involved in all levels of dentistry, Dr. Gage holds memberships in several local and national professional dental organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Dental Society and holds committee appointments for both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.           

About Dr. Stromberg

Dr. Louis Stromberg attended University of the Pacific campuses in Stockton and San Francisco, California, where he earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery.  Shortly after returning to Southern California, he moved to the High Desert and has been an active member of the professional dental community here since 1983.

After many years in general Practice, Dr. Stromberg made a commitment to further his education by attending Loma Linda University School of Dentistry for an additional two years, earning his certificate and Master’s degree in the specialty of endodontics.  During this time, the American Association of Endodontists recognized his research work as the most outstanding research by an endodontic resident in the entire country.

Dr. Stromberg is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the California Dental Association (CDA).  He is also an active member of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE) where he serves on the Annual Session Committee and coordinates the continuing education workshops.  Dr. Stromberg has been a member of the faculty at Loma Linda University Department of Endodontics and has been asked to serve on a committee to redesign the University’s endodontic clinic.

When he is not practicing endodontics, Dr. Stromberg can be found cooking, golfing, SCUBA diving, or just relaxing with his family.
